Today was gorgeous and warm, so of course I donned a bikini top and went for a walk on the beach. I found this perfect little nook up on a dune and just soaked in the sun and the serenity.
I think the barefoot walk in the uneven, sandy turf did a number on my ankles though. They are so sore! My ligaments feel strained. Maybe I should avoid high heels this week…
So worth it!

My Chuckles was promoted to Captain in Afghanistan this week. It’s a bummer he’s always getting promoted in-country when I can’t be there!! But I am so happy and very proud of him… and making fun use of that bump in pay (see extravagant Coach purchase below, lol.)

Last night’s dinner with the in-laws! Filet mignon, duck confit risotto, and shrimp n’ grits at one of my fave downtown restaurants… Yum!
