Gray, damp, bored, and lonely today. But not the kind of lonely where I actually want to go out and socialize or talk to anyone – I’ve had plenty of that this week! It must be more of the I-miss-my-husband kind of lonely. I wish he was here! How has it only been 2 months…?!

Anyway. I think I’m going to clean, work out, get cozy, and then order a big old pizza and watch the Big Bang Theory marathon on TBS. I’ll be a normal person again tomorrow 🙂

“Lilly loved all animals but these were her favorite.”

A fellow cat lady who loves pretty colors, parties, and dresses – Lilly and I are total soul sistas!

Saturday night’s Azalea Festival Patrons’ Gala in downtown Wilmington.

It was fun to dress up and go out. Of course, I wish Chuckles had been on my arm (not that these fine ladies – and gentleman – weren’t amazing dates, of course!) Good times 🙂

The Truth Behind Our Entitlement Culture

Great article about our country’s overwhelming culture of entitlement! I’ve long felt Americans have gotten way too comfortable with our blessings. This demonstrates how we are all to blame – and we are all responsible for setting a better example.

The Truth Behind Our Entitlement Culture

You all know I’m a cat person, but Dakota is my kind of pooch. Clean and relatively calm. Doesn’t slobber. Lets me wrap my arms around her and pose for pics (even though the second one is a bit of a fail.)

Isn’t she cute?? She’s a beagle-pit mix!!

Grateful I have at least one friend in the world with whom I can commiserate about constipation and unsatisfactory bowel movements.

And yes, when we say “poop”, we actually mean rainbows and sparkles – obviously.

Today was gorgeous and warm, so of course I donned a bikini top and went for a walk on the beach. I found this perfect little nook up on a dune and just soaked in the sun and the serenity.

I think the barefoot walk in the uneven, sandy turf did a number on my ankles though. They are so sore! My ligaments feel strained. Maybe I should avoid high heels this week…

So worth it!
