Beautiful, moving tribute to American heroes at Belleau Wood outside of Paris #WW1 #belleauwood #usa #usmc #military #france #boisdebelleau

In spite of accidentally booking a 7:01 AM EuroStar ticket rather than 7:01 PM ticket, we finally made it to Paris. We had a wonderful date night on Champs-Élysées – from a rooftop bar with splendid views (40 euros for two drinks was completely worth it), to an intimate and elegant French bistro, to Le Crazy Horse burlesque show. I am kind of in love with this city! #paris #romantic #eiffeltower (at Maison Blanche)

Beautiful #Oxford. So many great memories from my summer there. (at Oxford High Street)

Reunited with Beth after almost 8 years. I spent two summers with her in England years ago – once as students at Oxford, and then as interns at Parliament. She hasn’t changed a bit! #friends #london (at Jamie Oliver’s Union Jacks Covent Garden)
We are the most efficient tourists ever! Despite a delayed and disheveled start (mostly on my part, down to the gravy in my hair…) we have seen a ton and still had extra time for a pint in Covent Gardens before I reunite with my old bestie, Beth. Can’t wait for Oxford and Paris tomorrow! Exhausted, but happy.
Story of my life… I am notorious for refusing to sweat at the gym (when I go!) Bring me a fan😘
According to the vet clinic in Okinawa, it will cost us about $17 per day to keep Annie in quarantine. The required time is 180 days. That means it’s going to cost us over $3,000 to get my baby into our new home! Fingers crossed I can avoid the official quarantine and get it done in-home…

My old wedding venue has had a serious makeover!! Can I have a do-over?? #countryclub #arlington #dc (at Army-Navy Country Club (ARL))

It’s good to be home for a hot minute. These next few days will be mostly catching up on logistical matters and spending time with family before we leave on vacation. After that, I have a couple of weeks to catch up with friends, too!
I hope to stay busy, regardless. While it is good to be home, that in-between limbo state always wears me out faster than I’d like. In some ways, I never want to leave, and I want my time in the States to be long and fulfilling. In other ways, I am just ready to get a move on!
