I got a partial set of eyelash extensions this week, since they’re significantly cheaper down here than in DC. I love them, but I’m trying really hard not to get addicted… Grrr! I’m hoping they start to get really annoying. They’re a little annoying already, but I like them enough so far not to care. Figures 🙂

I swear I’m so bipolar about my hair! I really liked being brunette, but as it’s faded, I’m already longing for blonde again. Chuck also said he has a slight preference for my lighter hair, which could have something to do with my desire to switch again too… 😉
Anyway, I had my friend add some chunkier blonde streaks to get me started. I’m trying to maintain the integrity of my hair by not blondifying too quickly!
Today is my first at the new Chamber job, since yesterday I had to drive 2.5 hours northeast to attend my mandatory court hearing for that speeding ticket I got Labor Day weekend (DA reduced it for me with no points and no classes! Still had to pay out the wazoo though, 95% of which was in court fees – stupid government bureaucracy…!)
Anyway… the girl I’m replacing is still here technically, so there isn’t a ton for me to do yet. I did get to go to a ribbon cutting ceremony though. And attend meetings! More importantly, I’m filling out my tax and direct deposit forms so that I can actually make some money too 😉
I’m starting to feel like a real professional again!Â
I wonder how the poor Bean is doing at home though… all alone, all day long? The president here at the Chamber brings her old poodle with her to work every day, so I wonder if I can arrange some sort of similar deal with Annie?! Wouldn’t that be fun!! Miss her 😦
             
Even though Chuck will be deployed for his best friend’s wedding, he still asked him to be his best man. So sweet!
Just found the corpse of a recently deceased baby (or miniature) frog trapped between the pane and screen of my bedroom window. It was all bluish and hunched up and sad.Â
