Katy Perry fantasizes about boxes of kittens too!!

Internet providers, cable companies, and the Post Office all agree… I’m rural! #citygirlgonecountry #okigetthepicture (at Village Of Stump Sound)
Total zombie mode today…
…but at least today is my Friday! I leave for VA in the morning, to attend Chuck’s best friend’s wedding in Charlottesville. We are all bummed that Chuck can’t be there, but I think it’s basically the sweetest thing ever that the groom still selected him as a best man, despite the deployment.
Adorable 🙂

Love it! DC news at its finest 👍
When I have 3 weddings to go to in one month

Drugstore.com just sent me a coupon for 20% off “EVERYTHING in the Skin & Sun Care Departments,” but of course it doesn’t cover St. Tropez self-tanners (which are amazing, by the way.)
Seriously… what a tease.

2 children beheaded by militants, Afghan authorities say
Taliban militants beheaded two children in southern Afghanistan, a provincial governor’s office said.
Sometimes this war gets so politicized that even I forget why our men and women put themselves in harm’s way: to stop tyrannical entities like the Taliban, which has no respect for the most innocent forms of life, from preying on the innocent and manipulating a culture.
“How does this affect us?” one might ask. When you start manipulating cultures, extremism becomes rampant – and that puts us all at risk.
Tropical Storm Andrea
I’m actually kind of excited to hunker down in my new abode and ride out the storm with Annie. I do wish my TV was hooked up so I could at least watch a movie, though. I have missed my Big Bang Theory marathons, but it’s looking like we can’t get cable while we’re here.
Everything is based on a 24-month contract, and we can only get satellite since I’m so rural. The provider was very unclear on whether military orders would get us out of the contract – and even if they said yes, the reviews I found indicate they are not honest about it.
Good thing I recently downloaded lots of books to read!
